Walton County Arrest Records

When an individual is apprehended, the arresting agency, which may be the Walton County Sheriff's Office, creates a record containing the circumstances of the arrest and booking details. This record, called an arrest record, is available through the arresting agency, but the Sheriff's Office maintains centralized arrest records related to persons booked into the county jail, including

  • Arrestee's full legal name
  • Date of birth
  • Arrest and booking date
  • Arresting agency
  • Charges
  • Booking number
  • Mugshot (where the law permits)
  • Bond amount
  • Court appearance information

Per the Florida Public Records Act, arrest records are public and accessible to anyone unless restricted by court order. However, certain arrest data may be withheld if their release would hinder ongoing investigations, identify confidential informants, jeopardize public safety, or reveal the identities of juvenile offenders.
